Ashgabat International School, a private non-profit institution that opened in September of 1994, offers high quality education in the English language for elementary and secondary students from three years through eighteen years of age. The school's educational philosophy, which includes a personalized approach to instruction, leads to teaching for mastery. We believe in success for all students. We seek to create a positive learning environment since we believe a child learns more if he enjoys his learning experience.

The primary purpose of the school is to meet the needs of the children in Ashgabat who require this type of education with a view to continuing their education in their home countries with a minimum of adjustment problems. This program is also offered to Turkmenistani citizens who seek this education with a view to higher studies outside of Turkmenistan. In addition to its scholastic goals, the school endeavors to provide its students with knowledge of Turkmenistan.
